MEET WILL THIERY

MARINE CORPS COMBAT VETERAN

Will Thiery is a Marine Corps Combat Veteran, published author, national and international award-winning poet, and the voice behind the viral anthem "I'm Living Proof" - a song with over 500+ million combined views, downloads, streams, and social media video uses and growing. Will grew up in West Milton, a small country town in Ohio. Will joined the Marine Corps to defend the country he loves so much. Will turned down multiple D1 scholarships for baseball and football to enroll in The United States Marine Corps.

During his Marine Corps career, he traveled all over the world and was critically injured in the Battle of Khafji during Operation Desert Storm, losing 11 brothers, one being his best friend, James H. Lumpkin.

Will experienced and witnessed many horrible things in combat, like most do that go to war. But because of those experiences he has suffered from a moral injury, has PTSD, anxiety and other mental health conditions. Over 30 years of writing down his thoughts he has turned negatives into positives using writing as therapy. His music and writing is a reflection of his life, experiences, and his journey to healing.

Will's healing journey has taken on a life of its own. Will wants his songs, poems, original quotes, and experiences to help others through the struggles and rough times in their lives. They too can be living proof. No matter what we have all been through, his music is written to help people of all walks of life. If he can reach out to one person and help them see that there is light at the end of the tunnel, then it has all been worth it. Will's moto "if you can't see the brighter side, I'll sit with you in the dark."
